About this event
Our April tree walk will continue our appreciation of trees as they leaf out and we will again seek to understand the role that native trees play in providing food and shelter for birds, butterflies and bees. Our route may include an eclectic selection ranging from the diminutive Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus) to more moderately sized Maples (Genus Acer) and American Sweet Gum (Liquidambar styraciflua), to the towering Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera). Join us at the Triangle Garden, either at 9:30 a.m. on April 23 (with the Wednesday Walkers) or come along on Sunday, April 26 at 1:45pm. Our past walks have averaged about 2-hours but you do not need to stay for the entire walk. Families with children are very welcome too! Please register with Caryn McTighe Musil (cmusil@outlook.com) so we have sufficient handouts for all ages.
