About this event
The Bradley Hills Book group will meet on April 16 from 7:30-9:00 pm to discuss The Fraud by Zadie Smith. An historical novel The Fraud is based on the 19th century Tichborne case, a real-life criminal trial. The story takes place in London and the English countryside during the 1860s and 1870s. It centers on Arthur Orton, a butcher who claims to be the missing heir to the Tichborne baronetcy and fortune. The book explores themes of truth and fiction, authenticity and fraudulence, and social controversies of the era. Please email Dianne McCutcheon at Dianne07@aol.com if you are interested in attending.
